LAS VEGAS FILM FESTIVAL AND
BRENDEN THEATRES TO HOST THE
LAS VEGAS PREMIERE OF
“THE FABULOUS ALLAN CARR”
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1
Special Fundraising Screening to Benefit the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada
LAS VEGAS (October 18, 2017) – The Las Vegas Film Festival and Brenden Theatres will host the Las Vegas premiere of the film, “The Fabulous Allan Carr,” on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m., benefitting the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada.
Armed with a limitless Rolodex and a Benedict Canyon enclave with its own disco, Allan Carr threw the Hollywood parties that defined the 1970s. A producer, manager, and marketing genius, Carr built his bombastic reputation amid a series of successes including the mega hit musical film “Grease” and the Broadway sensation “La Cage Aux Folles,” until it all came crashing down after he produced the notorious debacle of the 1989 Academy Awards.
“The Fabulous Allan Carr” premiered at the Seattle Film Festival earlier this year and has played at several other film festivals across the country, garnering praise from fans and critics alike. The film features interviews with Patricia Birch, Maxwell Caulfield, Steve Guttenberg, Randy Jones, Randal Kleiser, Sherry Lansing, Lorna Luft, Michael Musto, Robert Osborne, Brett Ratner, Connie Stevens, Alana Stewart, Marlo Thomas, Bruce Vilanch and more.
The Las Vegas event will be attended by the film’s director, Emmy Award-winner Jeffrey Schwarz, producer John Boccardo and co-producer Larry Spitler, who will all participate in a Q&A after the screening.
Tickets are $25 for general admission and $100 for VIP, which includes a reception in the Brenden Celebrity Suite following the Q&A. All guests will receive popcorn with their tickets. Guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance as seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased online via this link.
